ENJOY THIS AWESOME PANAMA TOUR
Private Tour with an English-Speaking Tour Guide
On our Panama tour “Best of Panama”, you will get to know the little country full of joie de vivre and biodiversity. We will take you on an exploration of Panama´s most beautiful places and hidden treasures.
You start your Panama tour in Panama City – the most modern city in Central America -, which will impress you with its contrasts of old colonial villas and ultra-modern skyscrapers. The (partial) Transit of the legendary Panama Canal is a must before you will continue on your journey to the “interior” of the country. Here, a visit to the Azuero Peninsula and the wonderful highlands of Chiriqui with its pleasant climate, breathtaking landscapes, and coffee farms cannot be missed.
At the end of your Panama tour, you will be able to relax at some of Panama´s most gorgeous beaches, on the islands of Bocas del Toro. Get infected by the laid-back Caribbean lifestyle and the very special „Bocas-feeling“. From here travel back to Panama City, extend your beach stay, or travel on to another great destination: Costa Rica!

DAY 4
PANAMA CITY – EL VALLE DE ANTÓN (B)
Continue your Panama tour with a visit to the quiet little town of El Valle. Ages ago it used to be a crater lake but was later settled by the Indians of the surrounding mountains. El Valle has a very pleasant climate and a unique birdlife. Explore the area with small walks, for example to The waterfall “El Macho”, the warm mineral springs “Pozos Termales” (face mask!), “La Piedra Pintada” – a rock wall with pre-Columbian petroglyphs or to “Butterfly Haven“ – a butterfly farm.
DAY 5
EL VALLE DE ANTÓN – CHITRÉ (B/L)
Leave El Valle and travel west on the Panamerican highway. In Natá de los Caballeros you can visit the historic church. The place is one of the oldest on the continent, established in 1520. Before heading to the charming and historic village of Parita, enjoy a typical Panamanian lunch. In Parita, you visit a local mask artist in his house. He will explain how to make the typical Panama Diablicos masks. Later on, drive to neighboring Chitré on the Azuero Peninsula.
DAY 6
CHITRÉ – ISLA IGUANA – CHITRÉ (B)
First, you will visit a Pollera workshop. The Pollera is the Panamanian national costume, a beautiful, finely handmade costume dress. Afterward, drive to Playa Arenal near Pedasí. A fishing boat will take you in about 25 minutes to Isla Iguana. Already from the distance, you can see the island surrounded by white sandy beaches and crystal clear water. Thanks to special protection, the island is very rich in diverse species (superb frigate birds, iguanas, turtles) and is surrounded by corals.
DAY 7
CHITRÉ – BOQUETE (B)
Today you head in about 4 hours to the most western province of Panama: Chiriquí. You will leave the Panamerican Highway to the nearby mountains of Chiriquí. At 1200 m above sea level you find the small mountain village of Boquete. It has a wonderful cool climate. Before you go for a little hike in the beautiful surroundings, you can discover the small village. You might even see the rare Quetzal bird.
The tour ends at your hotel which is beautifully located outside of town, in the mountains.
DAY 8
BOQUETE (B)
In the morning, a visit to a coffee plantation close to the hotel is part of your Panama tour. The process of growing, harvesting, and processing the coffee fruit is explained.
In the afternoon, you will enjoy a unique experience: an exciting walk on suspension bridges. Or for the adrenaline junkies: try ziplining (surcharge applies). From the top, you will get a whole new view of nature. Observe the cloud forest and waterfalls from a bird’s perspective! An unforgettable experience!
DAY 9
BOQUETE – ALMIRANTE – BOCAS DEL TORO (B)
Today a 3-hour shared transfer takes you to the Caribbean coast. Here you will visit the Oreba Chocolate Farm, an organic cacao farm owned by the indigenous Ngobe. Make sure to try the raw chocolate. Your visit helps the community at the same time because all profits from the tour and some of the chocolate sales go towards afforestation, a medical emergency fund, and educational projects.
Later you will board a water taxi (shared) to Isla Colon/Bocas del Toro.
DAY 10
BOCAS DEL TORO / BOAT TOUR RED FROG BEACH (B)
Today you will enjoy a boat tour. You will see mangroves and have lunch (not incl.) at Coral Cay. There is time for swimming and snorkeling. Later the boat tour continues to Isla Bastimentos. The island is surrounded by mangroves, dense jungle, and fresh air. There are no roads or runways – the perfect place for adventure and nature lovers. No visit to Bocas is complete without a stop at its most famous beach “Red Frog Beach”, named after the red arrow-poison frog.
DAY 11
BOCAS DEL TORO (B)
Day at leisure.
Relax at the hotel, explore on your own, book a tour, or let us organize another great excursion for you. Bocas has so much to offer.
