DAY 1

SAN SALVADOR & HISTORIC CENTER (-)

Individual arrival at the international airport of El Salvador (SAL). Short city tour to explore the revitalized capital city to understand the country’s history.

DAY 2

SUCHITOTO (B)

Today, you will be taken to the colonial town of Suchitoto on Lake Suchitlan. Boat tour and walking tour of the beautiful historic center. The town is often celebrated as the cultural capital of El Salvador, known for its exceptionally well-preserved colonial architecture and laid-back atmosphere. Its name means “place of birds and flowers” in the Nahuat language. 

DAY 3

SUCHITOTO & MAYAN RUINS (B)

Explore a bit more of Suchitoto before you journey on through El Salvador’s ancient and colonial past. Visit Joya de Ceren, known as the “Pompeii of the Americas”, and Tazumal, El Salvador’s most impressive and well-preserved Maya pyramid ruins.

Head west for El Salvador’s most famous natural landmarks.

DAY 4

SANTA ANA VOLCANO & LAKE COATEPEQUE (B)

Early start for the 4-hour hike to the summit of the Santa Ana (Ilamatepec) Volcano to see its bright turquoise sulfur lake.
Later, relax at the massive crater lake. Rent jet skis or just enjoy lunch at a lakefront restaurant.

DAYS 5+6

RUTA DE LAS FLORES (FLOWER ROUTE) (B)

Drive through a series of colorful colonial towns in the western highlands. See Ataco with its vibrant murals, local handicrafts, and cozy cafes. Visit a coffee plantation to learn about the region’s top export.

Are you up for an adventure? Then don’t miss Cafe Albania with its many fun activities, such as the rainbow slide, dune buggy tours, etc.

Later, head towards El Salvador’s Pacific coast.

DAY 7

SURF CITY (B)

Spend your final full day relaxing or surfing.

Or take a half-day trip to the beautiful Tamanique Waterfalls to hike and swim in a jungle waterfall.

DAY 8

SURF CITY – AIRPORT (B)

Today, you will be taken back to the airport. It’s time to say goodbye to El Salvador and to start planning your next adventure with us!

Cross the border and travel to Copan. The Copan Maya archaeological site is famous for its distinctive sculptural style, unique hieroglyphic staircase, and underground temples. The setting, the piece and the amazing sculptures make this archaeological site a unique place.

Antigua, Guatemala

Antigua is a small city surrounded by volcanoes in southern Guatemala. It’s renowned for its Spanish colonial buildings, many of them restored following a 1773 earthquake that ended Antigua’s 200-year reign as Guatemala’s colonial capital. Notable architectural examples include baroque La Merced church. 

Leon & Granada, Nicaragua

Transfer by land and sea to Nicaragua. Arrive to colonial León for a short orientation walk in the evening. Continue on towards Granada, where you’ll see the city’s colourful colonial buildings. Surrounded by active volcanoes and lakes, this place is perfect for hiking and outdoor activities.
