Here you will hike, visit a coffee farm, and enjoy a bird’s eye view while walking on suspension bridges! Later, we will take you to the Caribbean Sea of Bocas del Toro where more adventures and breathtaking beaches await you.

DAY 1

PANAMA CITY – TRANSFER IN (-)

Individual arrival at the international airport of Tocumen. Your local driver will take you to your hotel in the city center.

DAY 2

PANAMA CITY TOUR (B)

Panama City Tour including

– ruins of Panamá Viejo, the country’s first settlement from the 16th century

– walking tour of old city center Casco Antiguo (UNESCO World Heritage site)

– Miraflores Locks of the Panama Canal

DAY 3

PANAMA CITY – DAVID – BOQUETE (B)

Today a 45-minute flight to David awaits you. From there the driver takes you to the mountain village of Boquete. It is known for its friendly people, cool, fresh climate and unspoiled nature. Flowers, coffee, vegetables, and citrus fruits grow here in rich fertile soil. Explore the cute little town that definitely makes our best places to visit in Panama list. A short hike in the pretty surrounding nature awaits you as well.

DAY 4

BOQUETE (B)

Today you will enjoy a unique experience: an exciting walk on suspension bridges. Or for the adrenaline junkies: try ziplining (surcharge applies). From the top, you will get a whole new view of nature. Observe the cloud forest and waterfalls from a bird’s perspective!
Later, we take you into the world of coffee. The process of growing, harvesting, and processing of the coffee fruit are explained.

DAY 5

BOQUETE – ALMIRANTE – BOCAS DEL TORO (B)

In the morning a 3-hour shared transfer to Almirante on the Caribbean coast awaits you. A water taxi takes you to the island of Colón. In the little town, you will find cozy bars, restaurants, and shops. Enjoy the relaxed, typically Caribbean atmosphere.

Afternoon at leisure.

Discover the area by renting a kayak or bicycle. Visit beautiful beach Playa Bluff or take a water taxi to Carenero island and have a cocktail at my favorite bar Bibi’s on the Beach!

DAY 6

BOCAS DEL TORO / BOAT TOUR RED FROG BEACH (B)

Today you will enjoy a boat tour. You will see mangroves and have lunch (not incl.) at Coral Cay. There is time for swimming and snorkeling. Later the boat tour continues to Isla Bastimentos. The island is surrounded by mangroves, dense jungle, and fresh air. There are no roads or runways – the perfect place for adventure and nature lovers. No visit to Bocas is complete without a stop at its most famous beach “Red Frog Beach”, named after the red arrow-poison frog.

DAY 7

BOCAS – PANAMA CITY (B)

Morning at leisure. You could rent a bicycle or take a water taxi to another island or beach.

In the afternoon transfer to Bocas airport and 1-hour return flight to Panama City. Transfer to your boutique hotel in the beautiful old town Casco Antiguo.

DAY 8

PARTIAL CROSSING OF THE PANAMA CANAL (B/L)

Without doubt, one of the best places to visit in Panama is the Panama Canal. Even better is taking part in a (partial) crossing of the Canal. Today is the day. On a 4-hour boat tour, you will pass through the Miraflores Locks, the Miraflores Lake, the Pedro Miguel Locks, the Gaillard Cut up to the Gatún lake. This tour leaves a lasting impression on each of its participants.

Partial crossings take part every Saturday. Other dates on request. Just ask us.

DAY 9

PANAMA CITY – SAN BLAS ISLANDS (GUNA YALA) (B/L/D)

The San Blas islands will definitely be another highlight of your Panama tour. A short flight takes you to the islands. From the airstrip located in the rainforest, a boat will take you to your island. Electricity is available (almost) around the clock. The island and lodge are owned by an indigenous Guna family and features ten simple but clean bungalows. Excursions and three meals a day are included, usually consisting of rice, plantains, and fresh fish/seafood.

Please note: There are no luxury accommodations on the San Blas Islands. None of the lodges have AC or TVs.

DAY 10

SAN BLAS ISLANDS (B/L/D)

Day at leisure.

Relax. The island has a small beach with calm and crystal clear water.

Or take part in the excursions included in your package, usually to visit an indigenous community or to another island and beach.

DAY 11

SAN BLAS ISLANDS – PANAMA CITY – END OF TOUR (B)

Early in the morning, a short flight takes you back to Panama City’s domestic airport. During the course of the day, transfer to the international airport for you departure flight. Time to say goodbye to Panama :(.
