DAY 1

MANAGUA – GRANADA (-)

Individual arrival at the international airport in Managua (MGA). Reception and private transfer of about 1 hr to colonial Granada. Granada is one of Latin America’s most beautiful cities and is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Founded in 1524 on the shores of vast Lake Nicaragua, this ancient town is full of history and Spanish colonial charm. The city also makes a great base for exploring the surrounding area, with volcanos, beaches, national parks, and the incredible archipelageo of Las Isletas de Granada all within easy reach.

DAY 2

GRANADA: COFFEE TOUR + LAS ISLETAS KAYAK ADVENTURE (B)

In the morning, you will visit the coffee plantation of Café Las Flores, idyllically located on the slopes of an inactive volcano within the Mombacho Volcano Nature Reserve. Learn about sustainable coffee cultivation and enjoy a coffee tasting. A real treat for coffee lovers.

In the afternoon, explore the stunning Las Isletas archipelago by kayak, along with an experienced local guide. Spot birds and other wildlife and pass local fishing communities.

DAY 3

VISIT THE APOYO LAGOON (B/L)

Today you enjoy a relaxing day at the Apoyo Lagoon. Here you enjoy a delicious lunch and have some free time at the shore of the volcanic lagoon. Formed some 20,000 years ago, this giant volcano crater lake is one of Nicaragua’s most beautiful natural landmarks. Tropical dry forests surround crystal-clear waters, making it a place of great serenity and incredibly diverse wildlife, including iguanas, hummingbirds, and howler monkeys. There are great opportunities for hiking, swimming, kayaking, and diving.

DAY 4

TRANSFER TO THE PACIFIC COAST (B/L/D)

Today you head to the Pacific coast of Nicaragua, to your beach hotel located at Playa Jiquilite. The Tola region (“Nicaraguan Riviera” or “Emerald Coast”), is an idyllic getaway with isolated Pacific beaches and dramatic coastlines which remain relatively undiscovered.

Malibu Popoyo is a beautifully designed and sustainably run boutique hotel, just a short stroll from the ocean in the little beach town of Popoyo. The hotel has a stylish, minimalist design, with some lovely local touches and an easy-going atmosphere. All meals are included.

DAY 5

EMERALD COAST: DAY AT LEISURE (B/L/D)

Enjoy a relaxing day at the beach or explore the surroundings!

The pristine beaches and peaceful bays are perfect for some relaxation away from the crowds, whilst inland you can discover forests full of diverse wildlife. World-class waves attract a steady stream of surfers, whilst the area is also great for horseback riding, hiking, fishing, birdwatching, and marine turtle observation.
